Deliverables:
The project faced several challenges, including time-consuming clash detection, misnamed elements, and ensuring Autodesk workset accuracy. The team addressed these by creating a custom Revit toolbar that leveraged their expertise to expedite processes.
Modeling the required equipment demanded a high level of detail, including entire systems like conveyor networks that had to avoid clashing with other elements.
The initial scans provided by the client were incomplete, necessitating a higher level of detail with PMC’s scanning technicians. Each time a point cloud was received, it was meticulously compared to ensure accuracy, with necessary adjustments made to the model to achieve the required precision.
Throughout the process, the team communicated with the client to address specific areas needing more detail. Initially estimated at 42 days, the project was completed ahead of schedule in just 16 days. Despite receiving incomplete scans, the team corrected them and created both LOD 200 and LOD 300 models.
